Repairs & Service Intake

Republic Night Vision operates an in-house service bench in Austin. We handle collimation, nitrogen purge, tube swaps and rehousing, diagnostic inspections, and full repair work on devices we sell and on devices purchased elsewhere.

What we work on

  • PVS-14-style monoculars — collimation, purge, tube swap, diagnostic, housing repair
  • Articulating binoculars (DTNVS, RNVG, BNVD-1431, PVS-31A, Katana) — same scope plus articulation alignment
  • Quad / pano systems (APNVG, QTNVG, GPNVG) — service available; matched-set work requires more bench time
  • Thermal and fusion — diagnostic and warranty intake only

Service offerings

Collimation

3–5 business days. Recommended after impact / drop or when you notice double-image or eye strain.

Nitrogen purge

2 business days. Recommended after any seal compromise or every 2–3 years preventively in humid environments.

Tube swap / rehouse

7–14 business days depending on tube sourcing. Quoted per request.

Diagnostic / inspection

1–3 business days. Fixed price; applies as credit toward follow-on work.

How to start an intake

  1. Pick the matching service product page (or use the general intake form).
  2. Complete the intake form with device make/model, work requested, history, your contact info, target timeline.
  3. We respond within one business day with shipping instructions and an RMA reference.
  4. Ship insured to the address we provide.
  5. We inspect, confirm scope, and either proceed (if quoted in advance) or send a quote for approval.
  6. Work completed → we ship back via insured ground service at no additional cost.

Warranty on service work

Republic service work carries a 90-day warranty against defects in the work itself.
