Rix Tactical makes fusion devices that combine intensifier tube and thermal sensor outputs in a single goggle — the RENV-B is the current Republic stock item. Fusion eliminates the trade-off between thermal's 'what's hot' and NV's 'what looks like X'; you see both, overlaid. Significantly more expensive than either thermal-only or NV-only; genuinely warranted when both image modes are needed in real time.
